Step 4 – Ensuring Control Measures Are Used and Maintained

Using controls – COSHH requires that all employers must make proper use of control measures in place by employers. Employees must remember that any control measures they find inappropriate must be reported immediately. Suitable training and supervision will enable employees to do this.

Maintaining controls – COSHH legally places specific duties on employers to ensure exposure controls are maintained.
