Step 5 – Monitor The Exposure

Under the COSHH regulations it is the employers. legal duty to measure the concentration of all hazardous substances and reduce the exposure to a level that will not place employees health at risk.

This needs to be monitored where the risk assessment concludes the below:

• That there could be serious risks to employees and others health if control measures failed or
• Exposure limits might be exceeded.
• Control measures might not be working properly
