TILE Assessment Process
- T = Task
- I = Individual
- L = Load
- E = Environment
A simple assessment should be carried out before lifting or repositioning any object.
Every lifting or moving activity is different and each will present a different set of hazards. To identify these risks, it is recommended that the following assessment scheme is carried out. If the answer ‘YES’ is given to any question, then it is essential that the ‘ACTION’ box is then completed. The following four slides provide more information on the separate elements.
